History and Condition

First registered in the United States on July 1st, 1957, this elegant Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider S1 750D “Short Wheelbase” later moved to Germany and was subsequently imported into Italy, where it underwent a comprehensive, full restoration lasting several years.

Since completion, the car has covered only 90 km of testing and still needs its running-in period and first service.
It is fully registered in Italy and ready for immediate use.

Authenticity and Certification

This is a genuine example of the first Giulietta Spider series, identified by the 750D chassis code and the “AR 1495” / “AR 1315” matching numbers, confirming its authenticity and adherence to factory specifications.

The original black Vipla upholstery, light blue paintwork, and black convertible top replicate the factory configuration, reflecting the refined elegance of the Pinin Farina design that defined the model’s timeless charm.

Technical Characteristics

Powered by Alfa Romeo’s renowned all-alloy inline four-cylinder engine (1,290 cc, single overhead camshaft), this Giulietta delivers around 80 HP in its standard configuration.
Thanks to its lightweight body (approx. 860 kg) and short wheelbase chassis, it offered nimble handling, excellent balance, and a top speed of about 165 km/h — remarkable performance for a mid-1950s sports roadster.

The 750D chassis, with its compact proportions and responsive dynamics, made the Giulietta Spider a symbol of Italian style, elegance, and driving pleasure, admired worldwide.

Rarity and Collectibility

Built in limited numbers before the introduction of the long-wheelbase 101 series, the Giulietta Spider 750D “Passo Corto” is now regarded as the most desirable and authentic version of the model.
With matching mechanicals, a complete restoration, and only 90 km driven since, this car represents a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional collector-grade Alfa Romeo.
